To Setup FedEx® with ShipRite
Software
- Go to Setup > General Setup Options. In the Program Registration Screen type in your email address. Once you have the email address there click "Save" in the top left corner.
- Go to the "Global Features" tab and scroll down to "SETUP – Default Ship From." Make sure that your store address is in there. If it’s not, add it and click "Update Now."
- Click on the "Carrier Setup" tab, select "FedEx," and then click on "Setup – FedEx Account Number." Type in your FedEx® Express account number and click "Update Now."
- Click on "Setup-Register with FedEx®" to register the account with FedEx.
- In order for the account number to be register properly and for the FedEx® Web Services to be enabled, 3 things must be installed:
- FedEx® Web Services (needs to be installed on every computer, including workstations.) If it does not run automatically, follow this link on each computer and run the utility.
- MS Interop Form
- Microsoft .NET framework
Your computer might have some of these installed already. ShipRite will know which ones are not installed, and when you try to register your account, ShipRite will automatically prompt you to install the ones that are not there. Follow the instructions on the screen to install those Utilities.
After each one of those utilities is installed, you will have to go back into Setup > General Setup Options > Carrier Setup > FedEx > Setup-Register with FedEx® and try registering the account again.
Your FedEx® is all set up once you get the User Key and Meter number.
If your account does not seem to want to register: Try exiting ShipRite completely, restarting it, then try to register it again. If it still does not work restart the computer and try again. If you are still unable to register it after restarting the computer, then fill out a support ticket: http://support.shiprite.net/ and let us know the exact error you are getting.
