How to Integrate Endicia “DAZzle Designer”
program to ShipRite
1.
Sign up for a Endicia
Premium Account. All ShipRite customers
must use this link when signing up with Endicia.
Important:
You must have a Premium Account in order to
integrate it with ShipRite! You can sign up
for Free 30 Day Trial. Endicia will not charge
you any service fees for the first 30 days
of your account, but you will pay for the
postage and insurance you use.
2.
Download
and install the Endicia “DAZzle
Designer” program on each ShipRite
computer from which you intend to print USPS
labels powered by Endicia.
3.
Install ShipRite version 10.7.0 or higher.
Important:
After you installed and successfully printed
test labels from the “DAZzle Designer”
program, then, and only then, you can install
ShipRite with Endicia integrated version 10.7.0
or higher.
B. Setup Endicia “DAZzle
Designer” program
To
setup DAZzle Auto XML Import feature:
1.
Open the DAZzle Designer program.
2. Click on Postage -> Options
to get to the main screen menu to open the
Postage Options form.
3. At the Postage Options form click on the
“Premium Service Options”
tab.
4. In “Premium Options”
frame check “Monitor this directory
for XML files:”
5. Make sure that you have the following path
in the text-box below the check-box:
C:\Program Files\Envelope Manager\DAZzle\XML
6. Below the text-box path, change the default
setting to 5 seconds.
7. Click "OK" to
apply the changes.
8. Now, every 5 seconds, this copy of DAZzle
will check the above specified folder for
ShipRite XML shipment files to be imported
and for labels to be printed.
Important:
DAZzle has to be running all the time to
monitor the XML Auto Import folder.

Setup DAZzle Label Printer
Note:
DAZzle Label Printer settings work correctly
only with Zebra type printer drivers. If you
have UPS or another driver installed, you
will still have to go through “Add New
Printer” procedure for the Zebra driver.
1.
Download
and install Zebra printer driver.

2.
Set your label printer to the LPT1 port.
3. Add the installed printer driver to the
DAZzle Printer Setup. Go
to File -> Printer Setup.

4. Setup DAZzle Label Layouts.
(Layout is the term used in DAZzle
to describe the design of your label. The
layout describes the media type/size, return/main
addresses, barcodes, postage insignia, graphics
and text.)
There are 7 layouts that ShipRite uses through
DAZzle to print different
types of USPS labels located
in the following DAZzle folder:
C:\Program Files\Envelope Manager\DAZzle
- 1.
Large Express Mail International shipping
label.lyt – with Customs form on the
label.
- 2.
Large Priority Mail International shipping
label.lyt – with Customs form on the
label.
- 3.
Zebra Small Priority Mail International
shipping label.lyt – Flat Rate Envelope
label.
- 4.
Zebra Small First Class Mail International
shipping label.lyt – Large Envelope
label.
- 5.
Zebra International Mail shipping label.lyt
– all other International Mail label.
- 6.
Zebra Express Mail shipping label.lyt –
Domestic label.
- 7.
Zebra Label.lyt – all other Domestic
Mail label.
All
7 of the above mentioned Layouts must be setup
correctly!
To
setup the Layouts outlined above, complete the
following setup instructions for all 7 files:

Laser printer Large International Layouts
- 3.2
Zebra printer Small International Layouts
- 3.3
Zebra printer other Layouts
3.1
Laser printer Large International Layouts:
1.
Open DAZzle Designer program.
2.
Go to File -> Open Layout.
3.
Locate the layout file in the “Open
Layout File” dialog box.
Click on it to highlight, and click the
"Open" button
to display the layout in DAZzle.
4.
Go to File -> Printer Setup.
5.
Setup your Laser Printer for "Large
International Layouts."
NOTE:
Only "Express Mail International"
and "Priority Mail International"
will use Large Laser Shipping label layouts
with the Customs forms included in the labels.
These labels are good for online discounts
and they don't require being stamped by
the Post Office.
Make
sure that you have the same printer settings
as in the image below: (except that your
laser Printer name will appear different)
Note the following options:

Click the "OK"
button when done and make sure that your
large labels fit perfectly on the DAZzle
screen.
Click
here for example of the Large International
label layout for Express Mail.
(NOTE:
The red line around the label should include
the whole label inside its boundaries.)
7.
Save the layout file changes by clicking
on File -> Save Layout.
8.
Make sure that you can print a test label
from DAZzle by clicking
on the "Test Print"
button in the "Print"
dialog box.
9.
Make sure that you have conducted this procedure
for the following Large International Layout
files:
1.
Large Express Mail International
shipping label.lyt – with Customs
form on the label.
2. Large Priority Mail International
shipping label.lyt – with Customs
form on the label.All other USPS services
will be printed to the Zebra layouts.
Note:
Global Express International
services still requires Customs forms there
is no layout for this service available
yet.
3.2
Zebra printer Small International Layouts:
1.
Open DAZzle Designer program.
2.
Go to "File -> Open Layout."
3.
Locate the layout file in the “Open
Layout File” dialog box, click
on it to highlight, and click the "Open"
button to display the layout in the DAZzle.
4.
Go to "File -> Printer Setup"
to open “Printer Setup”
dialog.
5.
Setup your Zebra Printer for Large
International Layouts:
NOTE:
Only First Class
Mail International and Flat
Rate Envelope Priority Mail International will
use the Zebra Small Shipping label layouts with
Customs forms included into the labels. These
labels are good for online discounts and they
don't require to be stamped by the Post Office.
Make
sure that you have the same printer settings
as in the image below:
Note
the following options:
a) Label Orientation: Landscape
b) Save printer information with layout:
Checked

6. Click the "OK"
button when done and make sure that your large
labels fit perfectly on the DAZzle screen.

for the following Small International Layout
files:

Zebra Small Priority Mail International
shipping label.lyt – Flat Rate Envelope
label.
2.
Zebra Small First Class Mail International
shipping label.lyt – Large Envelope
label.
NOTE:
Global Express International services still
requires Customs forms there is no layout for
this service available yet.
3.3 Zebra printer other Layouts:
1.
Open DAZzle Designer program.
2.
Go to "File -> Open Layout."
3.
Locate the layout file in the “Open
Layout File” dialog box, click
on it to highlight, and click the "Open"
button to display the layout in the DAZzle.
4.
Go to "File -> Printer Setup"
to open “Printer Setup”
dialog.
5.
Setup your Zebra Printer for
the rest of the Layouts:
Note
the following options:
a) Label Orientation: Landscape
b) Save printer information with layout:
Checked

6. Click the "OK"
button when done and make sure that your large
labels fit perfectly on the DAZzle screen.

files:

Zebra International Mail shipping label.lyt
– all other International Mail label.
2.
Zebra Express Mail shipping label.lyt –
Domestic label.
3.
Zebra Label.lyt – all other Domestic
Mail label.
Now
you have completed the setup for all seven DAZzle
Layout files!
C.
Setup ShipRite Program
Important:
You can only proceed to this next section AFTER
you have completed “Setup Endicia DAZzle
Designer” section and successfully printed
test labels from DAZzle program!!!
Setup
Options:
1.
Start ShipRite version 10.7.0
or higher.
2. Enable “Endicia”
setup option at the ShipRite Setup
screen by going to "Setup
-> General Setup Options main form menu
-> Options."

3.
Click "Save" to
apply the change.
4. Click on the "Carrier Setup"
tab.
5. Select "USPS" as
a carrier in the Carrier Selection
drop-down menu.
6. Click on “SETUP – Endicia-DAZzle
Auto Import Path” list entry.
7. Make sure that you have the following path:
C:\Program Files\Envelope Manager\DAZzle\XML\
8. Click "Save" to apply the change.

Setup Accessorial Revenue:
(Check
to make sure, in "Actions ->
Table Management -> Master Shipping Table,"
the following Based and Selling costs are
setup:
1.
Certified Mail (new)
2. Return Receipt (new)
3. Delivery Confirmation
4. Delivery Confirmation w Sig

5.
Declared Value - Endicia (new) *required
only if 3rd Party Insurance is turned off.

D.
How to Ship a Package from ShipRite with Endicia
DAZzle Enabled
Important:
DAZzle Designer program should be running all
the time to print labels.

1.
Click on the "Endicia"
button to ship a USPS package with
Endicia.
2. Click on a USPS service button
to open the Label Preview screen.
3. Add Extra Services if necessary.
4. We recommend keeping “Wait
Label to Print” option checked.
This feature gives ShipRite
the ability to extract and save the Delivery
Confirmation number into the ShipRite
database after DAZzle printed
the USPS label successfully.

5.
Click on the "Print Now"
button to print the USPS label from DAZzle.
6. If “Wait Label to Print”
is checked then the message box will be displayed:

7.
Wait for the label to print from the printer
and click "Yes."
Note: Click "No"
to return to the ShipMaster screen to edit
the shipment.
8. After this step your USPS shipment will
be added to Shipment History
and the Delivery Confirmation number (if was
chosen) will be saved into ShipRite
database.
