Instructions to install the Verifone PINpad

Insert
the included disk into the CD-ROM drive.

Plug the USB to Serial converter into an
open USB port on your computer. The New
Hardware Wizard will open.

When
prompted to look for the driver from the
Windows Update site and select “No,
Not this time.” And click
"Next."

In the next window select “
Install from a list or specific Location”
and click "Next."
-
In
the next window select “Search
removable media" and click
"Next."
-
The
files should automatically install and the
following screen will appear. Click "Finish."

Reboot
the computer.
-
Go
to: Start -> Settings ->Control
Panel -> System.
-
Click
on the Hardware Tab and
select "Device Manager."
-
Click
on the plus (+) sign where
it says "Ports."
This will open the tree.
-
Locate
the item “Prolific USB-to-Serial
Comm Port (COM X).” Write
the Com number down.

Open
your ShipRite software.
-
Go
to Setup -> General Setup Options.
-
Select
the "Global Features"
Tab.
-
Select
the item, "Lynk Credit Card
Setup."
-
In
the field "Debit Card Com Port,"
press the down arrow and select
the Com port indicated in step 11.
Then Press "OK."

The
Debit Card reader is now installed. Please
perform a test with the Lynk Test
Debit Card to confirm that it is
set and you account can accept debit cards.
(Please note
that Debit Cards must be swiped in order
for them to go through. Be sure that the
MSR works and that you are connected to
the internet.)
